The Founder

Najwa Dahdah is the founder and owner of Empowered Child Care Consulting, Inc. (ECCC), a childcare training and consulting company.  Created in 2016 in response to a need for professional
development for human service workers, ECCC prepares childcare professionals and Center Directors to better serve children, families, and the community.  Najwa is a bilingual (Arabic and English) childcare expert with over 19 years of early childhood work experience in both home-based (family and group) and center-based programs.

As one of Metro-Detroit’s outstanding spokespersons for children, Najwa has partnered with community-based organizations to improve childcare by providing evidence-based, culturally competent education.  Prior to working in early childhood education, Najwa enjoyed a successful career in banking management for 7 years where she excelled in operations (e.g. policy development and implementation and recording keeping).

Najwa earned an associate of applied science in child development from Schoolcraft College, a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education from Rochester University, and a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Leadership/Administration from the University of Michigan Dearborn.

Said Dahdah is a proud member of a wonderful team that offered tremendous work to the community. Said also helped with the creation and growth of Welcoming Empowered Network.

Said has a lot of experience of Child Development and he is a CPR instructor as well as he is very proud to attend the Macomb Community College at the age of 55 and be a major part of translating the CDA Competency Standards Books into Arabic.

Learning and Development Specialist

Alexander has held numerous internship positions in multiple industries and is always looking for ways to sharpen his accounting/office expertise. The reason Alexander was so fascinated with the field of Accounting is that he loves problem-solving and the way businesses and organizations need to solve problems and make critical decisions constantly. This constant need for business decisions brings a challenge that a solid background in Accounting will equip the necessary knowledge for.

 

Experience & Qualifications List

  1. Pursuing B.S. in Accounting at Oakland University

  2. Held an internship with a global automotive company learning Business Enterprise Software’s such as ORACLE

  3. Processing invoices and assisting with Bank Reconciliations

  4. Assisted the Treasury Team with quarterly earnings reports to CFO

  5. Nearly 4 years of relevant office experience

Hi, my name is Julie Khazouz.

I am a 23-year-old cat mom from Livonia, MI. I currently work as a Marketing Specialist in the Trucking industry. I graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management from Wayne State University. I am honored to be part of ECOS because we are making a positive change in our community.

Michael Dahdah is a Junior at Utica High School. He enjoys playing sports in his spare time.  His warm and welcoming smile is always a joy to have. His willingness to jump in wherever needed and leadership charisma is very much appreciated.

Ola Saad

A Michigan native, Ola Saad has a Master of Science in Administration: Leadership Degree from Central Michigan University. Saad is the proud daughter of two immigrant parents who instilled in her the importance of community service and giving back. Saad is a compassionate advocate for human rights; including the rights of women, children, those who identify as males and LGBT+ with over a decade of experience in the profession of advocacy, domestic violence, sexual assault, and social justice. Saad directly works with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their families, as well as immigrants and refugees and their families. Saad is extremely passionate about ending oppression, which includes violence, exploitation, marginalization, and cultural colonization.
